CRAP test….

In text citation:  Cats are horrible pets because “they stink” (Berge).

 In sentence citation:  According to “Cats Stink,” by Eric Berge, cats stink.

Works Cited.  Search:  OWL, MLA works cited sample/ noodlebib.

Summary:  Short version of events.

Paraphrase:  Restating in other words.

Direct Quote:  Cats are stinky because they, “have glands that secrete pheromones that are unpleasant to all but other cats.” 5%

Thesis-  Implied or direct.

Minimum- 5 paragraphs.  5 sent intro, 10-15 sent body and 5 conclusion.

Rebuttal-  Fair consideration of the other side’s POV with the reasons you disagree.

Concession-  Give in a little.
