C/C Essay Invention, Desc. Groups.

1.  Journal-

What will you compare for your C/C essay?  Why did you choose those topics?  What will your purpose be?

2.  Groups and descriptive editing.

1.  Underline areas where you think there are mistakes.

2.  Is the essay mostly concrete words?

3.  Does the essay resonate with the 5 senses?

4.  Can you "see" the story in your head?

5.  Does it start in the middle of the action?

6.  Does it discuss a 30 second or 1 minute event?

7.  Would others be interested in this?


HW-  Send me your Desc. Essay by Tuesday as an e-mail attachment.
HW-  Complete a draft of your C/C essay and be ready to review in groups on Monday.
HW- Reading-  "The New Trophy Wife" and  "Never Do That to a Book" and answer the first group of questions 1-6 for both stories.
